The American League won for a sixth consecutive time in the All Star Game with a 10-inning, 8-6 victory in D.C. last night.
A record 10 homers were hit. Houston’s Alex Bregman was named the game’s MVP.
Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez pitched a scoreless inning, striking out two batters. Former Bucs pitcher Charlie Morton gave up two runs on two homers in two innings of work. Gerrit Cole did not pitch.
