The Indiana School Board approved some final agreements for spring and winter sport assignments, and extra duty/extra pay assignments at last night’s meeting, but they also approved a district-wide facility study to be peformed.
The study will be performed by Architectural Inovations, who was approved as the district architect of record last night as well. The study will cost the district $75,000, and many members of the board said it was a lot to spend for the study, but Walter Schroth said that the market has definitely changed, and they are marketing the service on it’s own, and not just as part of a hopeful package deal.
The motion passed six to one, with Doug Steve the lone no vote.
The board also formally accepted the resignation of Assistant Superintendent Jeffrey Boyer, who accepted a Superintendent’s position in the Antietam School District. In an effort to hire a new assistant superintendent as soon as possible, the board directed the administration to post for the position internally for two days. New superintendent Michael Vukovich said that they want to post the position internally first.
The board also accepted the resignation of Anise Markle as the board secretary, but the board then approved dividing the secretary’s duties between her and business manager Jared Cronauer, who will be the recording secretary.
