The Altoona Curve opened a five-game set with an 8-3 loss to the Trenton Thunder last night.
Curve starter Eduardo Vera was forced to leave the game in the first inning when he was hit on the arm by a line drive after recording an out and allowing two singles.
Cole Tucker homered.
