Independence Day always brings a celebration at Mack Park in Indiana, and that’s the case again this year, with an all-day event sponsored by the YMCA, the J.S. Mack Foundation, and Graystone Presbyterian Church.
The event begins today at 2 o’clock, and the YMCA’s Kelsey Krynock says it will be a jam-packed day. with local bands, a vendor show, auto show, family games, a Kids Zone, raffles and a “Wine Walk”, which happens between 2 and 6 PM.
The Y’s Eric Neal says they made it affordable, and appealing for everyone. The cost of admission is $3 per person, or $10 for the whole family. Attendees get a wristband allowing them to come and go as they wish, leaving and re-entering the fairgrounds as long as they are wearing their wristbands. Almost all of the events are free. The Wine Walk tickets are $15.
The Star Spangled Celebration lasts until 10 o’clock, culminating with fireworks sponsored by Colonial Toyota.
