PennDOT has set a start date for a bridge project on Route 286 in Young Township. Work on replacing the bridge spanning Blacklegs Creek will begin on July 16th.
The bridge is the last of five in Indiana County that are among the 558 bridges being replaced by the state’s Rapid Bridge replacement Project, under the management of Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners. The others already completed include the Alverda Road Bridge in Pine Township, the Route 954 Bridge in Washington Township, the Clarksburg Road Bridge in Conemaugh Township, and the Kimmel Road Bridge in Rayne Township.
The Route 286 Bridge in Young Township is scheduled for completion in mid-November.
