WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
Two people were taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center Saturday night after a front-to-rear collision on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township. State police say a van operated by 32-year-old Christopher Smith of New Florence hit into the back of a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Charlotte Harvey of New Florence, who had stopped to avoid hitting a dog on the road. Neither driver was injured, but two of Smith’s passengers, a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, were taken to IRMC.
CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP
A motorcyclist was injured in a June 24th crash just being reported today. State police say 52-year-old Sean Henderson of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, hit some loose gravel on Nowrytown Road in Conemaugh Township, causing his Harley Davidson “Fat Boy” cycle to skid into the guiderails. Henderson was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital for what turned out to be minor injuries.
