State Police are investigating the theft of several firearms from a home in Green Township. Troopers say between June 26th and 28th, someone entered the home belonging Richard Allan Patterson of Clymer and took three .22 caliber long rifles, a .380 caliber Smith and Wesson snub nose pistol, a 20-gauge bolt-action shotgun, a 7mm long rifle, a 7 mm MAG long rifle, and a 5.5×65 caliber sweedish mauser rifle. Serial numbers are not available for the firearms. If you have any information, call police at 724-397-1960.
A Clarksburg woman was charged with retail theft after trying to take items from the White Township Wal-Mart. State Police say sometime on Thursday, Rosella Reed of Clarksburg allegedly tried to take about $21.42 worth of merchandise. She was processed at the State Police Barracks and issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft.
Police have charged a Blairsville man with drug-related crimes for an incident that happened earlier this month. State Troopers say on June 13th, they pulled over an un-named 23-year-old Blairsville man in the 8200 block of Route 119 south in Burrell Township on DUI-related issues, and they found he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
