A portion of a very busy road closed at 6 o’clock this morning and will remain closed through 10 o’clock tomorrow night.
Route 954 in White Township is closed between Fulton Lane and Creekside Road as Norfolk Southern Railroad Company workers replace the rails, ties, and the crossing surface at the rail crossing just east Creekside Road. The posted detour uses Route 110 to Old Route 119, to Route 286, but there are other options for local traffic.
Next Saturday, PennDOT says Five Points Road in Armstrong Township will be closed for railroad crossing work just south of Creekside Road near Shelocta. That work should only take a day to complete.
