A portion of Tanoma Road in Rayne Township has been closed since April for the replacement of the Onberg Bridge over Crooked Creek. Now, PennDOT says another section of that busy road is set to close for another bridge replacement project.
The Ruffner Church Bridge is scheduled to be replaced in a project that will include a new box culvert and pipe replacement. Tanoma Road will close between Rayne Church Road and Kirkland Road beginning tomorrow. The posted detour will use Rayne Church Road and Braughler Road.
The $1.6 million project is expected to be completed in October.
