An Indiana man yesterday waived his preliminary hearing and will face trial on twenty charges involving the alleged sexual assault of two young children in New Alexandria.
33-year-old Wolfgang Michael Sommer is charged with twenty felony offenses, ten each for indecent assault of a person less than thirteen years old and for endangering the welfare of children.
State police from the Kiski Valley station say Sommer abused the children while he was living with their mother between 2010 and last summer. In interviews with investigators, one of the victims, a girl, described how Sommer would get into bed with them, touching them inappropriately.
The charges were filed on May 15th. Sommer is in the Westmoreland County Prison with bond set at $50,000, and a formal arraignment scheduled for August 29th.
