A special town-hall meeting was held yesterday to allow four members of Governor Wolf’s cabinet to hear concerns from people from a four-county region.
The KCAC played host yesterday to Governor Wolf’s “Cabinet in Your Community” event. Over 100 people showed up to hear from the secretaries from the Departments of Transportation, Labor and Industry, Conservation and Natural Resources and Drug and Alcohol programs. Jerry Oleksiak , the Labor and Industry secretary, said the town hall meetings have been important due to the fact that they have heard from a lot of individuals and he feels he has learned more from the public than the public has learned from him.
This meeting is one of several being held across the state as different cabinet members go to different communities.
