Pitt head football coach Pat Narduzzi announced nine new verbal commitments yesterday, including quarterback Davis Beville, who is ranked by Rivals.com as the 18th-best pro-style quarterback in his class. The 6-foot-6 inch Beville chose Pitt over Cincinnati, Northwestern, Rutgers, and several Ivy League schools.
The other verbal commitments to the Panthers are:
- Running back Vincent Davis, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
- Inside linebacker Brandon George of Berks Catholic in Reading.
- Safety Brandon Hill, of Apopka, Fla.
- Defensive end Deandre Jules of Germantown, Md.
- Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey of Miami, Florida.
- Defensive end Brandon Mack of Montgomery, Ala.
- Defensive end Bryce Nelms of West Orange, New Jersey.
Following a series of Narduzzi Tweets announcing the commitments, Rivals.com moved Pitt’s recruiting class from #77 in the nation to #31.
