The Altoona Curve lost to New Hampshire, 9-1 yesterday. Will Craig hit his 11th home run of the season for the Curve and Cole Tucker was 2-4 with two steals. The Curve are off tonight and start a three-game series in Richmond tomorrow.
Checking in with Indianapolis, the Bucs’ top farm team beat Columbus, 6-3, with Jose Osuna going 3-5 with a homer and double and Jung Ho Kang 2-5 with a double.
And one of the Pirates short-season teams begins play tomorrow…The Bristol, Virginia Pirates will visit Greeneville, and the roster will include last year’s number-one draft choice Shane Baz, who has been playing extended spring training baseball as the Pirates take it slow with the teenage fireballer.
