Indiana University of Pennsylvania has announced national scholarship awards for two high school students enrolled in the univerity’s Upward Bound Math and Science program.
Katherine Kane of Indiana is the third IUP Upward Bound recipient of the Dell Scholarship, a competitive award for which she will receive a $20,000 stipend, a Dell computer, and 24/7 technical support, a printer, books, and academic counseling. The 2018 Indiana High School graduate will be pursuing a degree in finance at Pace University in New York.
Rachel Spielman of Indiana, a 2018 Penns Manor graduate, has won a Maguire Foundation scholarship. She is planning to study biology/pre-med at IUP’s Cook Honors College. She is IUPs first Upward Bound scholar to receive the award, which includes $8,000 per year for up to five years toward her bachelor’s degree.
