The White Township Supervisors introduced the new Township Engineer and adopted a hazard mitigation plan at Wednesday night’s meeting.
Township Manager Milt Lady explained the Indiana County 2018 Hazard Mitigation Plan and its purpose:
“It’s been worked on for over a year by the county and a steering committee of local officials, and it puts together an outline of things that should be addressed by the county. All kinds of things– storm water, flooding, noxious weeds… just anything that can be a hazard to development and to the county itself.”
The resolution adopting the plan was passed unanimously.
In other news, the supervisors approved the July 4th fireworks display at Mack Park, provided by the Starfire Corporation.
And, the supervisors introduced new Township Engineer Daniel Jageman, a Pitt graduate of civil and environmental engineering.
