The KCAC will host the Boy Scouts of America today for their annual William Penn Luncheon, which will pay tribute to IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll.
Driscoll will receive the Laurel Highland Council’s Distinguished Citizen Award at the annual luncheon which serves as a benefit for the council to be used to recruit, train and support the over 900 youth and adult members in Indiana County along with providing scholarships and fund several outdoor programs. Driscoll is being recognized for his commitment to leadership and service to the community. In a news release, former council president Bernie Lockard, Jr. said that Driscoll’s “leadership and encouragement of service by IUP students is a positive example for others, especially the youth of our region.”
The luncheon is set to kick off at 11:30 today.
