Two weeks into the summer driving season and gas prices are slowly going up in Indiana County.
The average price of a gallon of gas in Indiana County is $3.12 a gallon, up a penny from last week at this time, according to GasBuddy.com. Gas prices at most locations in the county are at $3.13, but some stores are reporting gas prices at $3.09 a gallon. Those locations are the Keystone gas station on Old Route 119 and the Kwik-Fill on Oakland Avenue.
Except for Clearfield and Cambria Counties, gas prices in the region are above $3.10 a gallon, with Jefferson County’s average the highest at $3.25 a gallon. Armstrong and Westmoreland counties each have an average gas price of $3.16 a gallon. Cambria and Clearfield County’s average cost of gas is $3.08 a gallon.
Meanwhile, the Statewide Average has seen a dip in price, with the average going down by nearly 2 cents to $3.09 a gallon.
