The Greensburg Catholic Diocese has announced a number of new assignments for priests in the four counties it serves, including in Indiana County.
The Reverend Rudolph Koser is retiring as chaplain at SCI Pine Grove and will be replaced by the Reverend E. George Saletrik, who is the pastor of the Church of the Resurrection, Northern Indiana County. Deacon Stephen E. Black will be assistant chaplain at the White Township prison.
The Reverend Gregorio D.C. Soldevilla Jr. has been named parochial vicar (assistant pastor) of the Church of the Resurrection Parish, Northern Indiana County, and will also serve as chaplain at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Bishop Edward Malesic also announced that starting on July 1st, the Church of the Resurrection, Northern Indiana County, will receive weekend Mass assistance from Saint Vincent Archabbey.
And in Armstrong County, the two St. Mary churches, in Kittanning and Yatesboro, have arranged weekend Mass coverage through November, at which time a new international priest will be assigned. In April, Father Medil Sacay Aseo was reassigned from International Priests Program to his home parish on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.
