INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana Borough police report two drug cases, one from this past weekend, and one from a month ago.
On Saturday night, police stopped 29-year-old Autumn Metras and 37-year-old Beth Gervasoni in the 400 block of Water Street. Both women are from Punxsutawney. Police say Metras gave them a fake ID, and Gervasoni had heroin and drug paraphernalia on her. Metras is charged with false identification to law enforcement and Gervasoni with possession on a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
30-year-old Amos Rankin of Creekside is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia. He was caught with heroin and paraphernalia in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street on the afternoon of May 3rd.
Indiana Borough police also have filed theft and receiving stolen property charges against 23-year-old Cortnie Newport of Indiana, who they accuse of stealing money and a tee shirt from a business in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street early last Thursday morning.
