The Homer-Center Wildcats scored four runs in the sixth inning and defeated WPIAL runner-up Union, 6-2, Monday in the first round of the PIAA Class A playoffs at the White Township Recreation Complex.

Dakota Sunday drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning to bring home Jayke Saiani with what would be the game-winning run. Corey Cavalier followed with a two-run single for insurance runs and Jesse Lee, who led the team with two hits, knocked in one more run with a single to complete the rally.
Junior Nate Davis pitched a complete-game victory for the District 6 champions, who improved to 20-1. Davis struck out 10 batters and allowed five hits.
