State police are searching for a bicyclist who stole a car early yesterday at the Eat-n-Park restaurant in White Township after ordering the vehicle’s owner to get out.
State police say the suspect was riding a mountain bike when he approached the 21-year-old victim, a Blairsville woman who had just ended her shift at the restaurant at about 5 AM. He ordered her to exit the car, put the bike in the trunk, and drove away eastbound on Indian Springs Road, toward Wayne Avenue.
The suspect is a black male in his late thirties, about 6-feet-2, with a medium build. He was unshaven, wearing a dark coat and dark pants, and had a gray t-shirt around his face.
The stolen car is a two-door, blue-green 2002 Pontiac with a loud exhaust and lime-green duct tape around the front passenger window.
Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police Trooper Schmotzer at 357-1960.
