The Pittsburgh Pirates clicked on all levels as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 Friday night in St. Louis.
Josh Bell got the scoring started for the Pirates with a sacrifice fly in the top of the third that scored Adam Frazier. In the 5th, Fransisco Cervelli hit a triple that scored Frazier once again. In the top of the 8th Corey Dickerson got in on the fun with an RBI triple that scored Josh Bell. Colin Moran scored Dickerson on a sacrifice fly.
Jameson Taillon got the win, which improves his record to 3-4. He allowed no runs on 3 hits and struck out six in eight innings of work. Ed Santana held off the cards in the 9th to complete the game.
