A Derry Man accused of threatening a judge will remain in jail for now.
According to the Tribune-Review, 54-year-old Paul Barsoum is in Westmoreland County Prison on five offenses which include leaving threatening voicemails for District Judge Mark Billik. Barsoum was seeking nominal bond for the voicemail case on October 4th, a case where he was accused of threatening a man and trying to break into his home on October 29th and falsely reporting to police that his gun was stolen on October 8th. Instead, Judge Christopher Feliciani has ordered another bond hearing after attorneys confer with an official who conducted a mental health and drug screening on Barsoum.
The new bond hearing is set for June 20th, but right now, Barsoum remains in prison in lieu of $750,000 bond.
