PennDOT has announced that construction on the South Water Street Bridge in Rural Valley will start in about two weeks.
Starting on Monday, May 11th, the bridge that goes over the Cowanshannock Creek in Rural Valley Borough in Armstrong County will undergo construction that is part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Drivers will be re-routed onto Route 85, Margaret Road and Route 2006 for the duration of the project. The bridge is one of 558 bridges across the state undergoing this rapid replacement treatment from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners, who will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridge for 25 years.
While the schedule is weather-dependent, construction is expected to wrap up in Late September.
