Starling Marte could return to the lineup today.
Marte was on the 10-Day disabled list since May 16th with a strained oblique. He suffered the injury swinging at a pitch against the Chicago White Sox. The Pirates brought up Austin Meadows to replace him, and Meadows has made the most of his time in the burgh since then, with three homers in his first six games.
A decision on Meadows’ fate will be made later today.
