The White Township Supervisors got an update on a noise complaint concerning a shooting range in the township.
Earlier this month, the Supervisors heard from some citizens that live near a gun store on Old Route 119, and Township Manager Milt Lady said he would visit the business to see if there were efforts being done to suppress the noise. Lady said that they have visited the business, and said that shooting takes place only during business hours, roughly 11 AM to dusk during the week and 9-3 on Saturdays. He added that the owners of the gun shop plan to build a sound-suppressing barrier, once they get the funding for it.
Lady added that the owners are also going to keep a closer tab on who comes in for shooting at the shooting range, and when they’re there.
In other business, the township officially signed the contracts for paving and seal-coating. The contracts were approved by the supervisors at the last meeting.
