State police say a former Indiana man bit a Citizens Ambulance EMT Monday evening after he was found passed out behind the Payless shoe store at 2200 Oakland Avenue in White Township.
26-year-old Addison Lee McCracken told state troopers he now lives in Durango, Colorado. As the ambulance personnel made contact with him, McCracken became aggressive and during the scuffle, police say he bit and physically assaulted Shawn Miller. McCracken also became combative during his arrest and had to be restrained as he was taken into custody and placed in the police cruiser. Miller had to be treated for the bite wound.
McCracken has four previous criminal convictions in Indiana County, including a 2012 plea bargain in which he pleaded guilty to simple assault in exchange for non-prosecution for aggravated assault. He was arraigned yesterday before District Judge Jennifer Rega and ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bond on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, institutional vandalism, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.
