State police are investigating a long-term case of identity theft that has cost a Homer City woman nearly $5,000. Police say a known suspect, whose name they have not revealed, used the woman’s debit card to make numerous transactions over a five to seven month period. While they do not identify the suspect, they do base the crimes in Green Township. The amount of the loss known so far is $4,923. The investigation continues.
Indiana Borough police report a burglary discovered Friday in the 200 block of Papermill Avenue. Between 4 PM and 8 PM, someone stole an Apple computer and two Apple cell phones from the victim’s home. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 349-2121.
State police have issued a report on an accident on Route 22 on Thursday morning. Police say 22-year-old Kacey Celestin of Winterville, Ohio, spun out her SUV, crossing the highway and hitting the guiderails. Se was not injured.
