The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the San Diego Padres on Friday night 3-2.

Corey Dickerson had an RBI single in the third that would score Frazier a second time. In the fourth, Eric Hosmer hit an RBI double to score Travis Jankowski, and then would come in on a sacrifice grounder hit by Raffy Lopez. The Padres took the lead in the 6th as Franchy Cordero hit an RBI single to score Hosmer.
Pirates rookie Austin Meadows had a good debut with two singles and a stolen base, but the Pirates didn’t help their own effort as they stranded 13 runners on base.
