With the warmer weather now coming through, people are looking forward to many outdoor activities, but Sheriff Bob Fyock is reminding people that one activity is not legal, and that’s jumping off of Allen Bridge.
In a news release yesterday, Sheriff Fyock reminds everyone that jumping off of Allen Bridge that crosses Allen Run and the Twolick Reservoir, or crossing it on foot for any reason except for an emergency is against a county ordinance. Anyone in violation of this ordinance is subject to a fine of up to $1000, 10 days in jail or both.
Sheriff Fyock is also reminding everyone that complaints have come in about unlicensed and unregistered motor vehicles, like ATV’s are not allowed on county parks or on country trails. The fine for that is between $25 and $300, 10 days in jail or both. Those rules are established for the safety of all those who use the trails.
