Kenneth P. Lower, Sr., 83, of Indiana, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at Rustic Manor Personal Care Home.
A son of the late Harry Paul and Carrie Thomas Lower, he was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Indiana.
Mr. Lower was an electrical worker with I.B.W. Local 126. He served his country in the National Guard during Peacetime and was a member of the American Legion 141, VFW Post 1989 and the Indiana Moose. Mr. Lower enjoyed hunting and gardening.
He is survived by three children: Connie Fairman, of Home; Kenneth P. Lower, Jr. and wife Cathy, of McIntyre; and Brian L. Lower, Sr. and wife Patsy, of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a niece, Catherine Shaw.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Manges Lower; and a sister, Thelma Chappel.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Paul Ruffner officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The observance of military honors will be accorded by members of V.F.W. Post 1989.
