Last night was the first of three graduation ceremonies at IUP and today, undergraduate degree ceremonies are being held at the KCAC.
Two ceremonies will be held today, the first one starting at 9:00 AM and the second starting at 2:00 PM. During the graduation ceremonies, IUP’s Distinguished University Professor Jeffrey Larkin will be honored, and student speakers will include Victoria Jakicic, a math and psychology double-major from Pittsburgh for the morning session, and Early-Childhood Education major Bethany Balencic of Indiana will speak during the afternoon session. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll will preside over both graduation ceremonies.
Tickets are required for both graduation ceremonies this morning, and attendees are reminded to arrive early as seating is on a first-come first-served basis, and arriving early will allow for adequate travel time to parking areas. Graduating students are advised that they have to make their way to Entrance 21 on the West Side of the KCAC for today’s ceremonies. Parking is being provided at designated lots near the KCAC and across campus for no charge today, with the majority of parking being available off Wayne and Oakland Avenues. Complimentary shuttle service will run from 7:30 to 4:30 today, and people can use IndiGo’s RouteShout app for real-time access to shuttle schedules.
