INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana Borough police have announced the arrest of Steven Oswalt of Indiana for selling drugs to some members of the Indiana County Drug Task Force.
Police say the 31-year-old Oswalt sold heroin to the officers on April 25th in the 300 block of Grant Street. He was taken into custody for the controlled buy on Monday and arraigned before District Judge Susanne Steffee. He’s charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and two misdemeanor offenses, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
Oswalt is being held at the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $150,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29th.
CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP
A student at Saltsburg High School was taken into custody for possessing marijuana on May 1st. State police say 19-year-old Jonathan Keltz of New Alexandria appeared to be impaired and as he was being questioned by faculty members, he pulled a bag of marijuana from his pants pocket and handed it over.
