Sentencing hearings are set today in the Indiana County Courts for several defendants, including a man who is facing theft charges in two separate incidents. Nicholas Hornchak of Penn Run will be sentenced for guilty pleas to Access Device Fraud in one case that goes back to September 9th of 2017 and theft by unlawful taking in a separate case that happened September 26th of the same year.
Also facing sentencing today is
- Mary Alice Gump of Clarksburg, who was charged with stealing jewelry and old coins from the homes of a 50-year-old Clarksburg Woman and a 33-year-old Saltsburg woman on incidents in July and September of 2017. Gump pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property for both incidents.
- Brandon Lamar Scott, who was charged with drug-related crimes for incidents in November and December of 2016. He pleaded guilty to manufacture with intent to deliver in both cases.
- Assan Zyhier of McKeesport, who was one of three men in a drug operation out of an East Mahoning Township home, and police found about 103 bags of suspected heroin, 41 wrapped bags of suspected crack cocaine along with what police believed to be marijuana. He pleaded guilty to manufacture of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, with all other charges not prosecuted.
