Homer-Center and Indiana played just five innings in Saturday’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive Classic at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City, which benefited IRMC’s Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. The game ended 10-0 in a mercy rule, with Homer-Center tallying three runs in the first inning, four more in the second, and three more in the fourth inning. The Wildcats improve to 13-0, while Indiana drops to 2-12.

The Penguins surrendered a 3-2 third period lead and lost to Washington, 6-3 in Game Five of their Stanley Cup playoff series. The Capitals now lead the series, 3-2 with Game Six in Pittsburgh set for 7 o’clock Monday night. The game can be heard on U92.5 FM and online at U92RADIO.com.
The Pirates tied the Brewers, 3-3 on a two-run homer by Starling Marte in the eighth inning, but Ryan Braun’s double in the bottom of the inning drove in two runners to give Milwaukee a 5-3 win on Saturday.
