As the weather finally gets warmer, people will be working on projects outside the home, and that includes trimming limbs off of trees. As part of that process, Indiana Borough’s Public Works will start limb collection today.
Indiana Borough Public Works Director Dave Fairman said the schedule for collection will remain the same as last year, and follow the same system. Pickups will occur the day after trash pickup in each of the borough’s wards, meaning First Ward will have limb pickup on Tuesdays, Fourth Ward on Wednesdays, Second Ward on Thursdays and Third Ward on Fridays.
Limbs that are put out for collection must be six inches or less in diameter, and placed where you would normally place your trash cans so that borough crews can pick them up easily and put them through their chipper. Also, the borough will not accept any vines or any other refuse a sit will not go through the chipper.
