Jung-Ho Kang is going to report to Pirate City in Bradenton, Florida to begin getting back into game shape as he wants to rejoin the Pirates as soon as possible.
Kang was out all of last season as he was denied a work visa after being arrested on a DUI charge in South Korea. That was the third time he was arrested for DUI. In a public statement, Kang apologized to his family and friends, the Pirates, Major League baseball and Pirates fans for disappointing them, and added he would not make public statements again until he was close to rejoining the team.
Additionally, Pirates Management has announced that no further punishment will be taken against Kang by Major League Baseball or the Pirates.
