State Police have charged a Saltsburg man with theft in connection with an incident in Saltsburg Borough. Police say that a 1986 Polaris ATV was stolen from the home of Dave Zimmerman of Saltsburg on April 13th. An anonymous tip lead investigators to 33-year-old John Bence of Saltsburg, who was seen selling the ATV to Brandon Bacik of New Alexandria. Charges were filed through District Judge Jennifer Rega’s office.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with making terroristic threats at the Blairsville School Complex. State Police say at 12:30 on Thursday, the student was seen making terroristic threats toward the school district and associated personnel. Other students told school staffers about the threats and the staff made the call to State Police.
A man is charged with harassment in two separate incidents at a home in New Florence. State Police say Sean McGrath was involved in two incidents in a span of five days. The first incident on April 20th had McGrath striking a girl during a domestic dispute. The same thing happened five days later with an adult woman at the same location. Charges were filed through District Judge Jennifer Rega’s office.
State Police are working on a case of theft of mislaid property. Police say a Kittanning man, who was not named in the police report, left his cellphone at the Sheetz on Route 22 near Blairsville on April 20th and when he noticed this, he called Sheetz back and was told the phone was found and it would be set aside for him. When he went to get the phone later in the day, Sheetz staff told him it was given to someone else. The investigation is continuing.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged a McKees Rocks man with retail theft. Police were called at 12:52 this morning to the Sheetz On the Point for the theft and discovered 22-year-old Cole Macek had not paid for an item while in the store. He was charged and later released from the Indiana Police station.
