As the month of April wraps up, so do activities releated to Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Awareness month in Indiana County.
Healing ceremonies were held earlier today (on Friday) on the steps of the county courthouse. Many who have passed by the courthouse have seen the pinwheel garden representing those who have been affected by child abuse. Jessica Clark with the CARE Center of Indiana County said that today’s ceremony honored the survivors of abuse and those who work in the field, who do a lot of hard work in helping the kids.
The pinwheels that were planted in the courthouse lawn this month symbolized hope for the victims of child abuse, and letting everyone know that there is still hope for these young victims.
