In Northern Cambria this week, a state police bomb squad detonated a homemade explosive device found in the home of a man who had died from a drug overdose.
The man has not been publicly identified. Northern Cambria police were summoned to the home on Nixon Avenue for the overdose on Monday night. They found the device made out of multiple fireworks, and summoned the state police. The bomb squad took it to a remote area and detonated it about 1:30 on Tuesday morning.
