State Police are looking for a vehicle stolen on Sunday morning. Police say the vehicle belonged to Rosebud Mining Company and was parked in the 4000 block of South Factory Hollow Road in Buffington Township. The burglary was reported around 2:30 in the morning. The vehicle was described as a dark green Ford F-150, and contained 1500 feet of five-strand copper cable valued around $1065 a roll, 1000 feet of phone cable valued at $570, 250 feet of communication cable valued at $110, along with a case of water, a case of root beer and a can of coffee. Few details are available about a theft at a store on Oakland Avenue in Indiana. State Police say around 3:16 PM on April 2nd, a 37-year-old Indiana Woman went into the store, removed several items from the shelves and put them in her purse. She then tried to pull a swipe-and-swap scam by going to the returns desk to return the items without a receipt.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 56 in East Wheatfield Township on April 21st. Police say David Dzelsky of Homer City and an another person collided when the unknown driver turned right on Route 56 from Route 22. Dzelsky also turned right to go onto 56 and rear-ended the other car. Dzelsky was cited for careless driving.
