Construction has started for the new Compressed Natural Gas station at IndiGo.
The station is part of an $84.5 million statewide public-private partnership project through Trillium CNG. They have been and will continue to design, build, finance, operate and maintain 29 public transit agency-located CNG stations, but the IndiGo station is one of six stations that will be accessible to the public. PennDOT will receive a 15% royalty, excluding taxes, for each gallon of natural gas sold to the public, which will be used to support the project’s cost, and the partnership has promised at least $2.1 million in royalties over the term of the agreement.
To facilitate construction, IndiGo has closed their reception area at the main office. Their main receptionist will now be at the Customer Service Center in the Indiana Mall, and they have extended office hours at the Indiana Mall Customer Service Center from 8 AM to 4 PM. All operations and routes are expected to run as normal. If you have any questions, you can call IndiGo at 724-465-2140.
