Indiana School District Superintendent Dale Kirsch was honored for all his work schools across the region last night by the Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit.
ARIN IU28 held their annual convention last night at Lenape Vo-Tech and they gave their Friend of Education Award to Kirsch. Kirsch has served as a Superintendent for four different school districts in the region, including the two largest in the Intermediate Unit, Armstrong and Indiana. On top of his years being a superintendent, ARIN Executive Director Jim Wagner said that Kirsch served schools in other ways, including serving as President on the the Armstrong-Indiana Insurance Trust, a self-funded trust that provides health insurance to all the school districts in the Intermediate Unit, along with the ICTC and Lenape Tech.
Kirsch was surprised by the announcement, and the fact that his children and grandchild were also there to help with the celebration.
