PennDOT has teamed with the State Police and the Indiana County Farm Bureau to warn people that slow-moving farm vehicles will return to the roads soon and to be very careful when encountering one of these vehicles.
Farm-based vehicles can range from 10 to 20 feet wide and could be towing farm implements, and on top of that, they can move between 10 to 20 miles an hour. Lieutennant Joseph Laughran with the State Police said one of the best tips to remember when encountering a farm vehicle is to be patient.
Ed Rising with the Indiana Farm Bureau said that the local farming community appreciated the reminder for everyone to be safe around large equipment.
If you do encounter a slow-moving farm vehicle, be patient and pass with caution.
