There are all kinds of ways people can get into your bank accounts, and we have police reports on two incidents today:
The first incident occurred on March 15th and involved a 61-year-old Cherry Tree woman who lives along Bowdertown Road in Montgomery Township. State police say a message popped up on the woman’s computer advising her that she needed to update her anti-virus software. The suspect then somehow took remote control of the woman’s computer and charged her c redit card $150. Police say the company was a scam.
In the other incident, state police say an identity thief made four purchases last month from the prepaid debit account of a 57-year-old Robinson woman. The purchases were made in New York on March 30th.
