UPDATE: The major outage in the Twolick Plant region has been repaired as of 6:30 this morning.
WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED
Many in Indiana County may be waking up without power this morning as outages sweep the region.
Penelec reports that there are two outages in Indiana, with the outage emanating from the Twolick Plant region causing over 1500 customers to go without power. The outage in the Whites Woods area is only affecting 1-20 customers.
The Seward region is also seeing a large outage with it affecting 500-1500 customers. Two outages have also been reported in the Blairsville area, affecting over 100 customers combined. An outage in Homer City is affecting a handful of customers, as is one in Shelocta. Two outages are affecting around 20 customers in Clymer and Dixonville each. Outages were also reported by Penelec in the area of Home station and Marion Center, affecting at most 120 customers.
Crews have been dispatched to the outage sites, and Penelec expects power to be restored by 7:30 AM at the latest, but that could change once crews arrive and find how much needs to be fixed.
