More police reports have come out concerning the activities of IUPatty’s weekend last weekend, with a lot of them alcohol-related violations like open container violations, along with hosting a loud party.
Authorities have also released several reports on drug-related charges. This includes a state police report from March 22nd where police charged a Pittsburgh woman with drug crimes during a traffic stop. State troopers pulled over 19-year-old Caroline Leigh Ann Stewart of Pittsburgh for a traffic violation on South 7th Street in Indiana Borough, and when police made contact with her, they detected a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the car revealed marijuana, paraphernalia and three bottles of vodka. Charges were filed with District Judge Guy Haberl.
Indiana borough police filed a report that happened at 4:29 PM on March 22nd in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue. In their report, police say 23-year-old Evan Eberhardinger of York and 20-year-old Austyn Peters of Harrisburg were in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue, and police found the two had marijuana and drug paraphernalia, but Eberhardinger also had some Oxycodone on him that was not prescribed to him. Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia were filed against both men, but Eberhardinger also was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Borough police also report on March 23rd at 10 PM, a white man took an orange in color chain from the rear of 246 South 7th Street. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at 724-349-2121.
