Sidney Crosby scored 19 seconds into overtime, lifting the Penguins to a 4-3 win over the Devils last night in Newark.
Patric Hornqvist scored midway in the third period to tie the game and force OT. Matt Murray made 28 saves. Kris Letang and Conor Sheary also scored for Pittsburgh.
The Pens return home to face Montreal Saturday night on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com.
Pittsburgh is five points behind the Capitals in the Atlantic Division. The Blue Jackets, who won last night, are one point behind the Pens.
