INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
More information is coming out concerning some of the crimes investigated as part of the IUPatty’s weekend. This included a report of a 21-year-old woman who was drunk and very disorderly early Friday morning. Police were called out to the 500 block of Philadelphia street for a report of a woman trying to pick fights with others. Once there, police identified 21-year-old Rayana Penn of Easton, who was intoxicated. As police were investigating, Penn became disruptive with police and tried to walk away from the scene, but she was taken into custody and taken to the police station. Penn was issued two summary citations for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct and was released to a sober adult.
A Ridgway man was charged with underage drinking after the car he was in was pulled over by Indiana borough police. This was also on early Friday morning, around 12:39 AM. This was when borough police pulled over the car in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue for a vehicle violation. Henry Toncich, the 18-year-old from Ridgway, was a passenger in the car. He was issued a non-traffic citation for underage drinking, and was released along with the other occupants of the vehicle.
