THREATS
State police report two incidents of people threatening others.
The first incident happened March 8th. Police say a known juvenile sent a threatening Snapchat message to another juvenile in White Township.
The second incident occurred March 9th at the Indiana County Jail. A 71-year-old Smicksburg woman showed up at the jail seeking information regarding her incarcerated son’s court hearing, but wasn’t satisfied with the response from jail officials and said she felt like “shooting the place up.” Police are treating it as terroristic threats, but do not say if they will file charges.
WOMAN MISSING FROM MARION CENTER
Police have issued a missing person release for 31-year-old Melissa Sue Erb of Marion Center. She left her home at 7 o’clock last night and at last report had not returned. She was driving a 1998 Chevy 1500 pickup truck with Pennsylvania registration ZMC 5671. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 357-1960.
STOLEN GUN
A handgun is missing from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway at a home along Short Street in Center Township. State police say a 33-year-old Homer City man reported that the Springfield XDM .40 caliber pistol went missing between 6:30 PM on March 10th and 10:30 the next morning.
